FotoVivo from Neovo AG uses a QTouch™ technology to enhance a great product design with its button-free Touchable Frame™ technology. The 8 touch keys in the 7" digital photo frame are powered by a single QT1080 8-channel IC.
Designed primarily for use in mobile phones, MP3 players, PC peripherals, remote controls and similar consumer devices, enabling touch keys through almost any panel material to facilitate a great variety of designs. The QT1080 IC consumes just 40µA at 3V in low power mode.
Other features include fully debounced results, lifetime automatic calibration, adjacent key suppression, low noise operation and a fast detection mode for use in applications where a simple touch slider is needed. When used to implement individual touch keys, the sensitivity of each channel can be independently tuned simply by changing a capacitor.
The QT1081 is an improved, lower cost, simplified circuit version of the popular QT1080 sensor IC. The QT1081 is designed for low cost appliance, mobile, and consumer electronics applications.
